Our engine shop is fully equipped with the tooling and machines necessary to accurately restore these engines. A combination of old school tools through the latest in machining and restoration. From line boring white metal through running on our engine dynamometer and every aspect in between.

At our core, we are restorers and builders. We approach engine building in the same way. We often are faced with solving or dealing with issues far beyond just rebuilding. Recovering damaged parts, researching and finding replacement parts, but also designing and creating missing components. We view engine building as an extension of our restoration and build efforts and approach with the same concepts and intent.

Design, engineering, and research are big parts of the complete build. Many of these engines require a though understanding of what it was and what it will be. Many vintage engines have been modified over the years as well as previous engine work. All this must be taken into account when engineering and designing a build. With engines that are special builds that were originally built for performance or one-off application, we put a lot attention and thought into goal for the final product.

POWER WITH PURPOSE

Along with our full engine build capabilities, we have a full design and application department to integrate modern designs, ECUs, Fuel injection, sensors, modern wiring harness’ and other enhancements, to match the engine to the intended goals of the overall car build. From points distributors and carburetors to full modern fuel injection and ignition. All sorted and setup on our in-house engine dynamometer.

Many vintage engines in restorations never see much stress in their restored lives. Some do! We build and design our engines to survive. Vintage racing through gentle touring, the goal is the intended outcome with absolute reliability.

We build engines yes. However, we also build the entire car as well. At the beginning of any project, we establish the goals and intentions of the build. The engine is an integral part of discussion and planning. Balance and an understanding intentions is key to creating a unified approach and outcome.
